Marilee is a seasoned multi-disciplinary professional with over two decades of experience in the film industry. Trained professionally in audio engineering at the Harris Institute for the Arts in 2001, Marilee embarked on an odyssey into the world of recording studios and sound design. In 2003, she received training from Canada's leading Foley Artists, solidifying her position as one of the most sought-after post-production professionals of her generation. Her contributions to the industry have been recognized and honored by prestigious institutions, including the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmy Awards) and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television (Canadian Screen Awards).

You're trudging through a frozen landscape, snow crunching with every step, the sound of your suit rustling in the wind. You spot your enemy in the distance and pull your sword from its sheath with a heavy "shing". The battle is on!! Just then, a voice in your head says "Let's try that again." You snap back to the moment and you're in the studio, standing in cornstarch and holding a spatula. This is why I love foley.
